Initial EMT Certification
Do you want to work as an emergency medical technician (EMT) in the Coastal Valleys region? You must obtain certification from the agency.
EMT Recertification
To renew your EMT certification status every two years, you must keep your CPR certificate current, and take continuing education or refresher classes from an approved CE provider.
Lapsed EMT Certification
If you have been certified as an EMT in the past, but do not hold a current certification, you may be able to renew your certification status by following one of these procedures.
Initial Certification for Out-of-state EMTs

Nationwide EMT Certification
