Prior to the implementation of the Coastal Valleys EMS Region, the Sonoma/Mendocino County EMS Agency had developed a Trauma Care System Plan in December 1997. The current 2002 Trauma Care System Plan incorporates the information contained within those separate Plans and represents the trauma system for the entire Coastal Valleys EMS Region. It is designed to comply with the requirements of California Health and Safety Code and Title 22 regulations including the Trauma Plan Development Guidelines issued by the State EMS Authority (publication EMSA #151)
